I am a passionate outdoorsman, with much of my time devoted to spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. After sustaining multiple Traumatic Brain Injuries in the Special Forces Qualification Course, my life was changed for the worse. The mountains and waterways created a healing environment and were integral to my healing process. Wanting to share my love of the outdoors with my fellow veterans, I founded a nonprofit, Heartland Harbor Foundation, as a vessel for healing and continuity of brotherhood.

After a personal experience with MDMA, it allowed me to feel, for the first time in my life, compassion for myself. Eventually the challenges surfaced again and I did the hard thing— I asked for help. Shortly after opening up, I obtained a sponsorship from Sierra Psychedelic Society to work with ibogaine--a plant-based psychoactive medicine--at the medical facility Beönd in Cancun, Mexico. The treatment lasted nine weeks and was the most challenging and profound experience of my life.

I saw God, I went to heaven. I experienced what infinity was. I experienced a love beyond what I could previously comprehend, and it helped to restore my soul, and it helped physically restore my brain. I truly believe that psychedelic medicine (especially ibogaine) is a gift from God.
